Ryan Brain - British Minimoto Champion 2008

Age – 12
Location – Solihull, West Midlands
Bikes Raced 2008 –GRC RR 4.2, GRC RR Prody, Metrokit 50cc, Conti 70cc,
Bikes Raced 2009 - Conti 70, Aprillia 125

2008 - what a season . The start was dogged by mechanical failure but Ryan persevered and make a phenomenal come back, to become the LCRRC Production A British Champion. In fact Ryan won 6 major championship trophies a convincing tribute to his riding skills.

LCRRC Production A - 1st
4.2 Junior - 2nd (he missed 3 rounds as his bike was sold to fund his move to full sized racing)

SEMRC Production A - 1st
4.2 Junior - 3rd (he missed 3 rounds as his bike was sold to fund his move to full sized racing)

NEMRC Production A - 2nd
4.2 Junior - 3rd (he missed 3 rounds as his bike was sold to fund his move to full sized racing)

Its been a roller coaster of a racing year with some real dips and amazing highs like lapping all riders up to second place at a wet race at Stretton and gaining an remarkable second place overall at Beccles, even though his engine seized and had to be changed in a frenzied pit lane struggle with just 30 minutes between races. Throughout the year Ryans determination to continue to the end at all costs despite mechanical failures and high speed crashes has paid off.

2009 sees Ryan moving from minimotos to race at full sized tracks initially on a 70cc Conti and recently on an Aprillia 125.

Rowan was a finalist at last years Red Bull Rookies selection process He is planning to re-apply for the 2010 season his dream is to race in MOTOGP.

Rowan also won the NGRRC 2008 F125 championship aboard a Metrakit GP80XL machine with race wins at Cadwell Park and Snetterton (a total of 5 race wins in F125 during the season) He was also 2nd in the EMRA F125 championship on the same bike, in fact at NG and EMRA he never finished lower than 5th place during the season despite giving away some 40% capacity to the larger 125cc machines.
